Rainforest, a fast-growing e-commerce aggregator and brand builder, was looking to onboard contractors across the world in 2021. Their biggest challenges, when employing contractors in a compliant manner, were addressing misclassification, as well as handling contractor payments in multiple currencies.

Skuad drafted, reviewed and signed agreements with each contractor — making them Skuad’s contractors. This shielded Rainforest against any risk and liability, like contractor misclassification.
Skuad managed all compliance and payroll processes mentioned in the contractor agreement. For example, for one contractor, the payment date was the 15th of the month while for another the payment date was the 30th of the month.
Skuad ensured contractors were paid in their preferred currency (USD, EUR, etc.). We also simplified invoicing by raising only a single invoice to Rainforest for ~30 contractors across 12 countries. Instead of making multiple payments, Rainforest had to pay Skuad once a month for all the contractors.
